Our Company

CYTENA is a multiple award-winning biotechnology company founded in 2014 in Freiburg, Germany. We develop automated instruments for life science laboratories, including single-cell dispensers, microplate washers, live-cell imaging & analysis, liquid handlers, and fully automated workstations for cell line development and next-generation sequencing (NGS).

Today, our technologies support researchers in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic laboratories around the world. Alongside innovative products, we are committed to delivering intuitive user experiences and exceptional customer support that help laboratories work more efficiently and confidently.

Since joining BICO in 2019, CYTENA has become part of a global lab automation portfolio serving the world's leading life science organizations, combining expertise across automation, intelligence, and data-driven laboratory solutions.
