Automation ready

The B.SIGHT automatically releases the multiwell plate after dispensing is complete and automatically opens up the lid, thereby allowing robotic arms to transfer the plate downstream for further processing inside an automated workstation.

Ideal for anaerobic conditions

The B.SIGHT can be operated in an anaerobic chamber thanks to its small footprint, low particle emission and low heat emission. These characteristics provide the ideal environment for isolating strict anaerobes. You can also control the device from outside the cabinet by connecting a monitor, keyboard and mouse, or by using a remote control terminal.

Isolation of bacteria into multi-well plates is completed in minutes. The B.SIGHT takes only 3 minutes to complete the isolation of bacteria into a 96-well plate and 8 minutes into 384-well plate!

Dual-camera system

The B.SIGHT’s extremely high-resolution optics make even the smallest cells visible. With an innovative and ultrafast dual-camera system, the system can efficiently and rapidly separate cultures of both fluorescent and wild-type bacteria into either liquid culture or agar.

Specialized for OMICS

The B.SIGHT enables single-cell genomics of microbiome samples without the need for cultivation. The B.SIGHT’s Automated Offset Correction (AOC) allows precise and accurate dispensing of single cells encapsulated in picolitre droplets at the center of wells in PCR plates, thus enabling downstream miniaturization of lysis buffers for NGS library preparation.

Avoid cross contamination:

Isolating cells is simple and contamination free with our disposable EASY.ON cartridges. Simply pipette your sample into the reservoir and mount the cartridge to the B.SIGHT. Microscopic droplets are produced through our bacteria-dispensing cartridges to create stable and accurate bacteria encapsulation. A new sample is then loaded into a new cartridge without a possibility of cross contamination.

Intuitive and easy-to-use software

Use the interactive well plate to design your own unique dispensing experiment and see in real time how each bacterium is sorted through the nozzle of the cartridge and dispensed into 96- or 384-well plates. Images of the dispensed single bacterium are stored on the hard drive, providing proof of clonality.

Wide range of target plates

The device can host a wide range of multiwell plates (96-, 384- and single-well plates) with heights up to 27 mm, enabling the use of low-profile deep well plates.
