Evaluation of Uniform Adherent Cell Dispensing and Automated Media Exchange with the C.WASH PLUS

This application note presents results from the evaluation of the C.WASH PLUS for HeLa cell dispensing and automated media exchange in 96-well microplates.

The study addressed two key workflow questions:

(1) whether adherent cells can be dispensed and seeded evenly using the dedicated port system, and

(2) whether automated media exchange can be performed with minimal cell loss. Testing was conducted in-house at CYTENA laboratories.

Results demonstrate that the C.WASH PLUS successfully supports both cell seeding and media exchange workflows, with highly uniform initial seeding (~90% confluency), maintained cell viability, and minimal cell loss during centrifugal media aspiration at tested g-forces (5–20 × g).
