Cellcyte X™ - High-throughput monitoring of drug effects on single-tumor spheroids

3D tumor spheroids better mimic in vivo tumors than 2D cultures, but monitoring their drug responses in real time requires precise imaging. In this study, Cellcyte X™ was deployed to continuously image tumor spheroids formed in ultra-low attachment microplates over several days. The system tracked spheroid growth, fluorescent markers of viability, and drug-induced cell death – automatically and with minimal user intervention.

Our findings establish Cellcyte X as a powerful platform for high-throughput, multiparametric evaluation of cytotoxic and cytostatic drug effects on single tumor spheroids.
